The Pamporovo ski resort is located at an altitude of 1650 m, with the highest peak in the area being Snezhanka, at 1926 m. The average annual temperature is 8.5o C, the area is covered in snow 150-200 days per year and the climate is mild, due to the strong influence from the Mediterranean. At present, there are 9 hotels in the area, with a total of 1500 beds, as well as one of the best ski schools in Europe (each ski instructor is fluent in at least two foreign languages), 17.5 km of ski runs, 5 chair lifts and 13 tows, with a capacity of transferring 8,500 people per hour, and a ski school for children. Pamporovo enjoys more than 120 sunny days per year.
The average snow cover is 140-150 cm and the temperature never falls below –7o C. There is no risk of avalanches and that guarantees safe holidays. The mountain has round edges, which make it friendly towards children and inexperienced skiers. The ski runs are ranked based on their degree of difficulty, with most of the starting from the top. There are also three cross country runs. Visitors will find more than 2,000 ski suits and equipment, as well as snowboards and slays, in the 9 wardrobes of the resort. Skiers bringing their gear may use these facilities to store it. The Rescue Service is on call 24 hours a day. The crèche and ski school for children is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
