Another technique in buttock enlargement is fat transplantation. The technique is practically painless, without the previously-known complications, and more functional and natural, as it does not involve foreign bodies. Furthermore, it improves other parts of the body through liposuction. Fat transplantation requires an adequate amount of fat from other parts of the patient’s body. Unfortunately, part of the transplanted fat is absorbed by the body and the technique needs to be repeated to supplement the volume. The percentage of fat absorption depends on the technique employed by the surgeon and his experience overall. New scientific suggestions have been put forward regarding the transplantation of stem-cell-enriched fat; however, these also have advantages and disadvantages. In any case, the technique employed has to be assessed according to each individual patient.
